In Trump’s case, it is understandable. First, Trump is president of the United States of America who has authority to access these documents. Second, he just finished his presidential term so he may not have enough time to return these documents! It is understandable! It is a violation of regulations. Third, Trump kept them for personal use! Biden shared them with all people who are working in the office! 

However, Biden’s case is big difference. First, he is former vice president so he should not have authority to access these classified documents at anytime and any situation ! The office where we found the documents was used as a think tank from mid-2017 until the start of the 2020 campaign. Second, he and anyone who had been working in the office should not have any excuses to avoid the responsibility for the illegal access of the classified documents! Because, It is a criminal activity and a breaking of laws! Third, Biden shared them with all persons in the private office. 

Biden commented on Trump’s case last August: "How that could possibly happen? How anyone could be that irresponsible? And I thought, what data was in there that would maybe compromise sources and methods?"

But, today he commented on his own case: “I don't know what's in them”!
