The 128-page report says SFPD spent over $108 million on overtime during the 2022-2023 financial year.
1. One group of cops use sick time to work for private companies and then the other group of cops get overtime work! Then they repeat the same cycle in turns! That is the way inflating the budget,
15 officers worked nearly or more than double a full-time workload. How could possible they work 16 hours a day?
2. A small number of officers (12% of total police) were responsible for 32% of SFPD’s overtime hours.

7. No established performance metrics or criteria for “special initiatives,” despite the fact that SFPD worked 319,945 overtime hours under the special initiatives during the audit period at a total estimated cost to the General Fund of $30,824,783
